Meet the Bontrager Family Singers!

The Bontrager Family Singers is a tight-knit, energetic family from the midwest. We love to sing, play our instruments, and shine the light of Jesus! In addition to our tour life, we lead an adventurous & high energy life back in Iowa.

Marlin fills his days with managing the singing ministry and farm. Some of his favorite moments are planting corn and beans in the spring, driving combine with one of the children or grandchildren riding along, and going on dates with his one and only true love. His history of getting our bus in and out of tight situations, arriving at concerts in a timely fashion, and faithfully driving for hundreds of hours every year gives us reason to believe that he is one of the best bus drivers ever! Helping run sound and sharing a challenge in each concert are several more of his roles on tour.

Becky, full time mother and "Nana”, loves being 100% invested in the lives of her family. She thrives on having everyone around the table, gardening and cooking, going on coffee dates with her children or young mammas who need encouragement, and babysitting the grandchildren. Her beautiful voice adds lovely lead and harmony parts to the family band, and she enjoys helping arrange new songs.

Elizabeth, our media manager, is diligent in mailing out cd orders and running our product table and social media. She plays piano and violin in our concerts, sings whatever part she is needed for, and helps with musical arrangements. Baking scrumptious food in the kitchen, nurturing relationships with her friends. loving on her nieces and nephews (and all the other little people in her life), and spending time with her family are what she loves doing the most. Elizabeth blesses us all with her beautiful decorating skills and delicious cooking. You can find her on instagram, where she is building her home businesses and seeking to be a blessing and encouragement to young women.

Hudson took the award for being the tallest brother and hasn’t slowed down in the eating department. He stays busy driving the tractor, milking the cows, feeding and caring for his pasture raised pigs and grass-fed beef cows, and doing whatever else needs to be done with strong hands and a willing heart. On the road, Hudson is our band manager, keeping concert set-up and music practices running smoothly. He blesses our audiences with his talented guitar picking and vocal harmonies. His nieces and nephews adore him and he looks for every opportunity he can to spend time with his family. We all laugh more because of Hudson’s sense of humor, and he exercises great zest for everything in his life- people, Christ, work, and play.

Rebecca does a great job in her roles as "youngest" and "auntie". Loved dearly by her nieces and nephews, she's thrilled at every chance to play with them. Her diligence and attention to detail with her schoolwork carries over to other areas of life as well, making her our family’s queen of organization and cleanliness. Back on the farm, Rebecca can be found tackling another organization project, helping out with the gardens and housework, diligently doing her school, or sitting on the couch curled up with a good book. In concert, she plays bass guitar and violin as well as blessing everyone with her beautiful voice.

Ike McNaughton started traveling with the band last summer and adds a lot to each concert with his skillful harmonica playing and steady mandolin chop. He also uses his mechanical and problem solving skills on the road, making sure the bus is running smoothly! Ike is happiest working with his hands, whether that is in the tractor doing field work or fixing machinery in the shop. Hiking, flying his paramotor, or jumping out of an airplane are a few of the adventures he enjoys. Ike is also always down for a good time with family and friends and his love for sharing the gospel and enthusiasm for life inspire those around him and he is a joy to have in our bus!
