Christmas in July

Those of you who have followed our blog for several years may remember that we usually do a post about our traditional Christmas Eve Dinner. This past Christmas, with John + Chelsy’s wedding just a week after Christmas, (and all the surrounding festivities and preparations as we had the wedding and left on tour just two weeks later) we missed posting about our dinner.
Today, though it’s July, I am taking a little journey back to the beautiful sub-zero evening of our special family Christmas Eve Dinner. Enjoy!
At the last minute, everyone joined in putting finishing touches on the table as we prepared to feast and celebrate! Candles were lit, sparkling juice poured, and lights dimmed.
Our tradition is for everyone to make gourmet appetizers. We love having the appetizers be the dinner……we feel like we enjoy them more fully this way, since we can truly fill up on all the deliciousness!
Antipasta Skewers (Allison and Rebecca)
Veggie Tray (Mother)
Fresh Mexican Dip (Taylor)
Sweet Potato Fries (Carolina)
Loaded Potato Skins (Denver + Hudson)
Mexican Skillet Dip (Josh + Cass)
Stuffed Mushrooms (John + Chelsy)
Chocolate Covered Things (Bryn + Mitchell + Elizabeth)

  1. How pretty! I wish I can get my family on board to do an actual Christmas in July. We did, however watch a couple of Christmas movies last week. Have a blessed weekend.

  2. 503252 114211Basically received my initial cavity. Rather devastating. I would like a super smile. Searching a great deal far more choices. A lot of thanks for the article 594804
