Christmas Service

Our church had a lovely Candlelight Service around Christmas time, and we all enjoyed it so much.  It was a perfect time to stop and savor everything Christmas is all about-Jesus coming to earth, and the love and joy He brings to our lives today.  There is something about candlelight, too, that gives an extra awe to the heart in the midst of the celebration.
Once again, Chels dressed up in her maid outfit (from the Christmas Play) and lit a candle as soft music played at the beginning of the service.

Mr. Christmas came down out of the ceiling surrounded by falling snow………..
……………then made his way to the stage, where he read aloud the timeless Christmas story.
The evening was filled with music!
Our family played several instrumental pieces.
Our pastor’s wife and her parents sang a beautiful song about “home for Christmas”.
Of course there was preaching to encourage and challenge our hearts.
We had little electric candles to give us light to read the Word.
The children gathered round the tree to help distribute…….
……..small Christmas presents for everyone!
“Joy to the world, the Lord is come.”

The worship team(Mr.Bill, Mamma Mary, Mamma Anita, Mamma Patty, Ms.Susan, Mr.Josh, Mr.Kevin, Brandon, and Mr.Mark) either sang or played. Mr.Bill, Mamma Mary, Mamma Anita, and Mr.Mark sing on the worship team. Mr.Kevin and r other bass guitar Jeff switch off every other Sunday. Ms.Susan and Mamma Patty both play the piano, they also switch off every other Sunday. Brandon and Billy play the drums, they also switch off every other Sunday. This Sunday Ms.Susan, Mr.Kevin, and Brandon r playing but next Sunday they won't. Mr.Josh is r electric guitar player. R worship team sang/played(Jingel Bells, Let It Snow, Sleigh Ride, My Soul Magnifies The Lord, Light of the Stable, Little Town, Angle's Melody, and Oh Holy Night. R youth served at the dinner. We did it on the 16th for the homeless people. We didn't have such a good turn out so the youth got to watch it that night. I helped with r little kids who sang both nights!
