  1. Very fun! I keep meaning to ask since your food always looks AMAZING – where do you get most of your recipes from? Are there any cookbooks that you can recommend? Or do you have a place on your website where you post recipes? Also, could you open a restaurant right by my house where we could come and eat all of our meals – would that be too much to ask? he he:)

  2. Hey Sonya!

You're so sweet.:) We do really like to eat!

We like our tried and true Mennonite cookbooks, as well as several newer cookbooks with healthier recipes. One favorite is "A Better Weigh" by Cindy Mullet. But the majority of our recipes are made up- we are "a little of this and a pinch of that" kind of cooks.:) But for baking and such we often do use recipes from the aforementioned cookbooks or Pinterest.

Allison will be posting some recipes on her blog, http://www.fromallison.com, soon, so subscribe to that if you are interested in more recipes!

  3. Denver, Hudson, and Rebecca are competing at the National Bible Bee Competition this year, but Elizabeth participated in the summer program and Josh and Taylor have also competed multiple times in the past.

  4. I'll try this again. Every time I comment it doesn't take it…maybe this time will be the magic time… But that apple danish!! Is there any way you could post that recipe? I've just got to have it! Thanks so much!!
