My mother is always on the lookout for education experiences for the children (and all of us!) to participate in as we travel. So during our time in Moreland with our cousins two weeks ago, my mother and her sister took all the kiddos age 16 and below, to the Atlanta Zoo/Park. The children loved it; they hadn’t been to a zoo for several years so it was the first one that Rebecca remembered.
Here are a few of the pictures they took.

On Friday our whole family, along with my uncle & aunt and their family, went on a family field trip to the Chick-fil-A headquarters in Atlanta. Some friends of our cousins’ invited us to come and arranged a tour and meal for us there. It was very interesting to learn about the founder of Chick-fil-A, Mr. Truet Cathy, and how he has grown his business through prayer and the principles of God’s Word.

Touring the building….
Eating lunch in the HUGE Chick-fil-A restaurant/basement. They serve hundreds of staff and staff family there everyday over the lunch hour
Our family sang on the top floor for a group of the Chick-fil-A staff
Everyone was enamored with the very classy elevator.
Some of us choose the equally fun stairs.
They asked us to sing in the lobby and put a call out over the intercom to let the employees know. Employees and Mr. Truet Cathy stood along the balcony rails on each of the six floors and listened. The sound from the Steinway grand just filled the whole place….it was pretty amazing!

Here are the seventeen cousins.
We laugh when people ask “are ya’ll some kind of…school?”
we used to get “are ya’ll a daycare?” but now that half of us are teenagers people aren’t sure what to think. =)
