Northern Tour 2017 || Post #18

We had two concerts while we were in Anchorage. One was a Sunday night, at Chapel By The Sea. This church is just what the name says, too—it overlooks the ocean and is a GORGEOUS location! The church people were so good to us and it was a joy to be with them again after four years. We also enjoyed several days at their church guest house/property and will post about that next.

Potluck picnic out by the church, overlooking the ocean, after our concert.

One of the huge benefits of tour life is all the random people we bump into! This was a friend from MN; it’s been years since we’ve seen her family and we had no idea she had gotten married + moved to Alaska! What fun to get a text from her grandpa earlier in the day, telling us that she would be at our evening concert.

This view!!
We also sang at a Christian University, to a church group that meets there.
We had some great ministry opportunities that night, specifically in one-on-one conversations afterwards, and are very grateful for those divine appointments that Jesus put in our path.
Our short little lineup for introductions. =) We seem to just keep shrinking and shrinking these days! Thankful more than ever for the moments we have to make memories together-I don’t want to ever take them for granted.

  1. I am so enjoying your beautiful posts and pictures from Alaska. I love Alaska, and have visited there many many times, my first visit being when I was 15 and traveled there with my parents and 5 sisters, as dad seriously wanted to homestead there (back in the 1960's when you still could) and we drove from our home in SoCal. The Alaskan Highway was a dirt road, back then. Dirt road. Literally one of the highlights of my 60 years. I've been blessed to travel having been to all 50 states, and DC by the time I was 18 (all with my family), and 47 countries in my passports, but Alaska is by far my favorite place on earth, and I go up as often as I can. Thankfully I live in Seattle, so I'm not too far away.

    Safe travels.

    Blessings, Mari
