for the big trip!
………………

The following pictures give a glimpse of the things we have been busy with in the past days.

This fridge now contains much food for the coming days!
The girls’ room did look rather like a tornado!  “What will I need for three months”? can be hard to decide.:)
Rebecca has been a good little helper in the midst of the flurry of packing!
LOTS of clothes!
Getting the new fridge into the bus (the old one didn’t work) was quite an ordeal.  To make a long story short, we tried and tried and tried to find a “professional” to help us remove a bus window and install the new fridge.  Unfortunately, after many phone calls, we Dad still had not found anyone who wanted to tackle the project.  Finally, through a friend, we made contact with a local man who was willing to help us.  And on New Years Day, no less!  What an answer to prayer….thank you, Lord!

Grandma spent hours cutting, knotting, and sewing two new comforters for use on the bus.  Thank you, Grandma!
Organizing and arranging the kitchen has been a fun and challenging project.

By now we are nearing the “take-off” point; most of the packing is finished.  Things that still need to be finished include the following: last-minute packing, cleaning up the house, outside chores, and showers.  We always seem to end up leaving much later than “scheduled”.:)  My current prediction of actual departure: 11:00 PM.
We would appreciate your prayers as we begin this trip.  Check the blog for coming updates!
