January 1, 2009
We have again been blessed with a visit from relatives from afar.  My sister, her husband, and their 6 children traveled 900 miles to spend 3 days at our house.  It has truly been a time of encouraging each other in the Lord, playing games, singing hymns together, conversing around the dining room table, doing projects, shopping, reading stories to the little ones, watching family movies, etc.

Rebecca was so happy to have her cousin, Wesley, read a book to her.

Lawrence is expressive!

Sarah, and her daughter, Sarah Elizabeth, sliced the sweet potatoes for our New Year’s Eve meal.

The older girls made treats for our New Year’s Eve party.

Chelsy’s cream puffs are becoming a family favorite!  She fills them with homemade pudding.  m-m-m-m-m

Cousins!!

A serious chess game was played by Wesley and Mitchell.   I don’t know who won….

Sarah Elizabeth was in tears this morning when it was time for her to leave her best friend, Elizabeth.

These boys spent many happy hours putting Fishertechnic and some solar projects together.

Marissa is extra special because she spent 5 weeks with us last summer.

Rebecca loved wrecking the towers that Jordan built for her.

A highlight for Hudson was playing “Candy Land” with Wesley 3 times and beating him every time.  Maybe Wesley forgot how to play?!
As we begin this New Year, I am so thankful for our many relatives and friends who have enriched our lives in so many ways.  Thanks to all of you for your friendship.   Wishing you all a year of God’s grace as you seek His face.
“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”  Jeremiah 33:3
