November 12, 2016
Here are a few pictures from our two last tours of the year, in September! These were special trips, as they were our last two for 2016. We made many great memories and all agreed, after we returned home on October 2nd, that the last tour of the year was the sweetest one yet. We had so many God-moments, saw several saved, many encouraged, and overall it was just a really good bonding trip as a family. It was the perfect note (no pun intended) with which to end our 2016 concerts.
Loved meeting up with one of my second cousins + her kiddos at one of our concerts!
Smiles with these precious little ladies (dear old friends) who moved to western Iowa awhile ago and came to one of our concerts there.

Study for Bible Bee Nationals started picking up…(more on that to come next here!)

Family devotions with friends in Ohio. Loved this time around the Word together!

When you have two big families together, its hard to get everyone fit into one picture. =)

Sound check + evening concert prep in Illinois.

Fun signs + announcements + even a little welcome message for us backstage!

This place was equipped. So appreciated this feature of the hanging nail trimmers. Best idea ever.

These two kindred spirits drove out all the way from the far east to surprise Alli during our concert set in Shipshewana. So many good memories made with them!

Getting in a quick early lunch at a dear friends’ restaurant before running off to outdoor noon concert!

As always, we loved our yearly tradition of singing at the Crafters Fair + Bluegate Theater in Shipshewana. So many good memories from these times!

Friends who come to our concerts when we sing nearby-always such a treat. Love these ladies + the rest of their family!

Funny selfies backstage!
Trying on snazzy fashions!

Lunch time on the bus!

Scrambled eggs, anyone? Hashtag “life with a moving refrigerator”. =)

Morning brunch with friends at one of the yummiest establishments in Shipshewana.

Coffee with this incredible lady + meeting her newest little guy.

We love having company over in the bus! =)

These two guys, reunited. It had been about a year and many many inches ago since the last good times, but they always pick up right where they left off!

Apparently they don’t feel quite tall enough, even at nearly six feet. Hence the standing on chairs for pictures. =)

Hanging out with one of our close friends who is always so kind as to fix all of our computers + technical difficulties when he is with us. Every time we hang out with him, we have him bailing us out of some kind of tech issues. =)
It is also good to have those friends who happen to be hanging out with you in your awkwardest of moments, and they still remain your friends, even after the fact. =)
Without going into excessive detail, the original situation at hand was fixing computers, but we were interrupted mid-session with a rather disturbing emergency involving leaking and spilling and smells. Not pleasant smells.
We will leave this saga whilst still on semi-decent ground, and assure you readers that all was restored to order + cleanliness after at thorough investigation, remedy, and washing. That is all. =)

A very candid “hop” on stage, performed by Denver. Thankfully for the mandolin, his jump was successful. Very risky, nonetheless.

Sibling cooperation happening once again!
Loved seeing these girls again!

That night we watched the first presidential debates, late, in a church office.
Our faces display our thoughts on the situation.
Oh, and that was before the debate. Don’t you wish we had pictures of afterwards?? =)

A rare “off and open” morning. We found coffee and wifi and soft pretzels all at the same spot. Glory hallelujah for those sweet amenities + earbuds to block out the world + focus for several precious hours.
Spreading out + setting up makeshift little offices in our various lawn chairs. Hey, it worked!
So many dear friends across the miles…always blessed for opportunities to catch up!

Josh giving the Word through memory during one of our evening concerts at the theater.

“Lord, Thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.
Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever Thou hadst formed the earth and the world,
even from everlasting to everlasting, Thou art God.”
Psalm 90:1+2

  1. Ah, but y'alls visit with us was so much fun and just what we needed that week! We won't mention the all-out rubberband war, or the hilariously funny imitating of a certain story recorded by one of my family members, alright? :)) Y'all are such a blessing!
