A few weeks ago, our Pastor was talking about the $$ needed for all the expenses of the Live Animal Christmas Play (see pictures of last year here). Our dear mother had the idea of a fundraiser dinner, and after some planning and {just a little:)} cooking, it happened! The menu was cheesy ham + potatoes, green beans, salad, dinner rolls, veggies, and chocolate cheesecake, vanilla cheesecake, or apple cake for dessert.
………………………………………………
Chels found that drinking water from a kettle is much more fun. Or saves time? Or something like that.:)
apple cakes
Chels made about 250 dinner rolls. And hers are the best. Just sayin…..:):)
Down to little Rebecca, everyone pitched in and worked together.

Oh yeah! This guy and the little blue apron…….
Ham and potatoes, anyone?

LOVE this photo!!! These three cut all 250 dinner rolls. Oh, and buttered them.

such an awesome idea!! love how hard you guys always work whether at home or on the road.
This is so neat! Love all the pictures! My church is doing a Christmas Dinner/Play on December 15th and we are also doing it again on December 16th for homeless people. The youth are serving! The worship team is singing a few songs and the little kids are singing three songs! I'm currently not sure what I'm doing on December 15th: I'm either serving or I'm there as a awana's leader. I know on December 16th I'm there as a awana's leader! Any youth who are serving, worship team members, sound members, and awana's leaders get in for free!
I pray all goes well with your Christmas Play! Are any of you all in it?
In Christ,
Lexi
Ah, looks like such a fun family adventure. 😀 I absolutely adore being in your family's kitchen and all of the fun memories/conversations that have happened there. 🙂 And I'm always happy when I have friends' kitchens pretty much "memorized" of where things are located, thanks to sweet Rebecca. 🙂 And my last two random comments are: that baby sleeping area is positively {awesome} and the lettering on the donations box looks slightly familiar. 😉 Miss you guys! Have an blessed Thanksgiving. ~EB
Hi Lexi!
Yes, we will all be involved in one way or another.:)
love,
Allison
Elizabeth,
Yes, kitchen memories are the best. We made some today with thanksgiving prep- having some of the brothers in the kitchen peeling apples, washing dishes, etc for several hours + making 10 pies (clarified: they were not in charge of making the pies:) pretty much guaruntees some "interesting" memories.:):)
And your mother's handwriting….ahhh!!! What more can be said? It's simply inspirational to me. Love it. Those boxes may still be used at the 30th Turning Hearts Celebration or something, huh?;)
blessings,
Allison
That's must be fun! Do you all know what the theme of your church play is? I'm not sure what mine is other then it has to do with Jesus.
In Christ,
Lexi
Y'all are so inspiring! Way to live out the verse about 'whatever tour hands fins to do, do it with all your might'! 🙂 Loving all the photos. And, my goodness, does that chocolate cheesecake looks amazing! Do you deliver, Alli?! 😉 Seriously, though — well done, all!
It looks like you have all been busy. The food all looks so good.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
