Week #7 was our last week for the summer tour! Those last few days were a little intense for all of us as anticipation for home continued to grow. =)
Allison has been very busy preparing for the upcoming young women’s retreat! It can be a little tricky to find time and space to do this on the road!
Practice!
Schooltime…
Our trust tech guy, Carson, fixing a malfunctioning monitor.
We had a wonderful time seeing at this beautiful camp for the third time in three years! Every time we go back we just love it more and more. It reminds us of the camp meetings in the old movie “Sheffey”!
Whenever we have a chance to spread out outside of the bus, we jump for it. Meals get a little tight in there!
One night when we had off, Liz + Dad planned a special family activity for everyone. There was lots of laughter, exercise, and competition involved. =)
It’s the story of life on the road. Sometimes that wifi signal is just all-elusive and so whenever you find it, you take advantage of the moment. Even if it means sitting as close to the church as possible because the church is locked and it is way late but the signal reaches just outside and PRAISE THE LORD the church wifi is unlocked. =)
A highlight for our week was making tortillas with friends in Ontario. They run a bakery as a family business and it is quite the production! They graciously allowed us to help them make tortillas, and we enjoyed it so much!
Above, placing the dough balls on sheets.
Time to run the balls through the press!
Here they come, out the other side….
…and here they are a little further down the line, freshly baked!
At the end of the line, they finally come out of the huge, multi-layer cooling rack, where we grabbed them and stacked them in stacks of ten….
…and then the stacks of ten were put in bags and sealed.
Rebecca + Elizabeth got to put the labels on the finished bags.
Group music practice time!
Rebecca getting in her personal violin practice before a concert one night.
Our last Canadian concert of the tour!
It was a pretty exciting thing when we crossed into the USA!! It was so good to be back in our home country again!
Our very last concert of the tour was in Rushville, NY, just about thirty minutes from the community where mom grew up.
We had a wonderful time there; a great crowd of community came out to the camp that was hosting the concert, and it was such a special evening!
Loved spending time with these sweet friends!
We are SO WELL FED on tour!
Just one word. YUMMY.
Our cases are definitely getting battered + beat up by constant use and wear + tear! =)
We have recently added an acapella version of the Doxology to end out our concerts.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Is this really the end of the summer tour series?! Thank-you to all of you who have followed along + kept our family in your prayers as we were out on tour this summer! (and yes, we safely arrived home @ 4am yesterday morning! SO GOOD to be back!)
Thank-you also to all the dear saints who gave so sacrificially in so many ways, to bless our family. We can never thank-you adequately but our hearts are full and we are grateful for each one of the dear people the Lord has brought across our paths this summer!
Note: we ended out our tour with a weekend off, spent with the Stoltzfus side (moms family) in NY. We have so many pictures + memories from that time, however, that we will be doing a separate post about that later. Stay tuned!
“He sent redemption unto His people; He hath commanded His covenant forever: holy and reverend is His name. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do His commandments: His praise endureth forever.”
Psalm 111:9+10

Wow I'm sure your glad to be home. Keep posting.😀
Welcome home!! The picture of Alli prepping for the retreat is exciting. 🙂 And other favorites are the wifi picture :), seeing pictures of the tortilla factory after hearing about it at family camp, and sweet Rebekah practicing on her violin. Excited to hear the Doxology addition to the concerts, too – that's a great idea! Many blessings as you transition back!
*Rebecca. Oops, sorry about that!
I can't wait for the Stoltzfus reunion blog post! 🙂
I have been reading your blog and following your tours for several years now, and I am thankful of your inviting readers inside your lives. I keep you in my prayer journal where I pray for you, when at home and tours.
I have a question for you . . . When are you to plan a concert tour that will bring you to Seattle, or another city close by? Please come over to Washington. I pray for the opportunity to meet you, my friends through the internet, and hear your concert.
I would love to prepare a wonderful PNW meal for you, and most of all I would love sitting at the table sharing life with you. I'm even sure I could find work around the house for the boys. My husband passed away on February 15th, and I am learning I now need to do everything on my own, as he always took care of household jobs.
Please plan a tour of the Pacific Northweat tour and visit. It would truly be an honor to have you here.
Blessings,
Mari
Glad y'all are home safe 🙂 Is y'all's newest album not yet on iTunes? It's not coming up when I search you guys :/
Mari-
we haven't been on a tour west for a long time! We would love to come out again but don't have anything planned at this point. We will be sure to announce it here though if we decide to plan a tour out there, and hope the Lord allows our paths to cross at some point in the future! Thank-you for your kind invitation!
