Wishing you a blessed New Year!  At the Bontrager house we (the energetic young people and one slightly older but young at heart) welcomed the New Year in with singing and praying.  It was a sweet time of encouraging each other in the Lord.
There are many uncertainties in life and much darkness in America today, but I am so glad to be serving a God who knows the future.

Our New Year’s Eve party consisted of the Bontrager and Youngman (my sister’s family).  I will be posting more pictures later on today (after getting some sleep!!) of our party and the last few days.

Until then, may you be encouraged with the words of Fanny Crosby’s hymn:
“A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord, A wonderful Savior to me; He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock, Where rivers of pleasure I see.  He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock, That shadows a dry, thirsty land; He hideth my life in the depths of His love, And covers me there with His hand, And covers me there with His hand.”

  1. That is a wonderful hymn. Hope your family has a blessed 2009. There is much uncertainty but it is wonderful to know our Heavenly Father has everything in His hands.

I though I would let you know that I’ve been following your blog for more than 12 months now. I enjoy reading about all your family’s adventures.

  2. Aunt Becky, it was wonderful to have you with us (the young people!) as we sang and prayed the New Year in. You are such a trooper! 🙂 But then again, we all knew that anyway! The others missed out so much–didn’t they? You are so young at heart. I want to be like that too…always!
    I love you!

    Marissa
