Missions Trip to Peru || Guest Post by Denver

In late April I (Denver) left to go on a nine day missions trip to Peru. It was an amazing experience of drawing closer to God, enjoying His beautiful creation, and sharing His love with all people. I went with two men from our church to give out water purification systems as well as to share the Water of Life. Here are some pictures of my time there.

I had a long layover at the Miami airport so I was able to have lunch with these Bible Bee friends. It was great to see them again!
The markets in Peru often overflowed into the street.
So many houses representing so many people who have never heard the love of Jesus Christ. May we never tuck away this hope in our hearts but may we share it wherever we go!
It was amazing to see the Amazon river from the air.
I was able to try alligator for the first time. It was delicious!
And I ate grub worms for the first time.
Not as delicious. =)
The Amzon river was much larger than I expected.
I held an anaconda for the first time.
The people had little in the way of material things, but they had so much of true love!
Soccer is an international language and was a fun way to get over the language barrier. I enjoyed playing with these village kids.
The animals were friendly!
This sweet lady was so thankful for clean water.
The sunset over the pacific ocean.
“Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvelous works among all nations.”

  4. Denver, thanks for sharing; this side of heaven you will never understand how you and your family's good fight of faith has strengthen many of us believers in our trials. Not sure which was more courageous eating the worms or having an anaconda around your neck.
May God continue to bless your family for your faithfulness.

  5. My siblings and I so enjoyed watching you on BB, Denver! This post really inspired me. Thank you for your willingness to shine and take a stand for Jesus in this generation where teens never do anything like this! It is my dream to go to Africa someday, Lord willing. Thanks for giving me a peek into your life!! <3
